NEWYDD
This collection contains civil and church marriage records from Opava, Moravian-Silesian, Czechia between the years 1800 and 1945. Records typically include the names of the groom and the bride, their date of birth, their date and place of marriage, and the names of their parents.

Locations that were formerly in Czechoslovakia but today are in modern day Poland, are also included within this collection. The religions found within this collection are Catholic, Evangelical, Czech Brethren, Orthodox, and the Czechoslovak Church.
In the Czech language, nouns ending in a consonant take an -a or -e suffix to form the genitive case. Therefore, names in the images will appear with this suffix, though the record will display the base name without the grammatical ending.
This collection is unique to MyHeritage, which produced the index from scanned images of the original documents.
